Yonekichi Kudo was a Japanese blacksmith who bludgeoned to death his sleeping wife and six children with a hammer at their home in Tokyo, Japan on October 12, 1948. The 60-year-old, who committed the murders after receiving notice from the tax collector that he was 6500 yen in arrears, then set fire to the house and poisoned himself.[1][2][3][4][5]
