In 1614 a man killed his wife and five children in their sleep in Valencia, Spain. He was arrested, sentenced to death, and executed by hanging, drawing, and quartering.[1]

The crime was recorded in the journal of Mosén Juan Porcar, who was chaplain of the church San Martín in Valencia at the time.[2]
