Tami was an Indonesian teacher who killed one person and wounded 16 others in Tanjong Batulak, a village near Batusangkar, Indonesia on September 2, 1957.

Tami taught religion to a group of children at a house that was reserved for that purpose, and as it was custom with the Minangkabau the children afterwards stayed for the night at the building. At about 5 a.m. the aforementioned day Tami attacked the sleeping children with a knife, killing an eight-year-old boy, seriously injuring 13 others, and slightly wounding three more. He was eventually overwhelmed by other villagers, after one of the children raised an alarm.[1][2]
