Leman was an Indonesian who killed twelve people and wounded two others in Bakun, a village near Palembang, Dutch East Indies on January 27, 1933.[1][2][3]

During the night Leman, who was armed with a machete, entered four cottages and attacked their sleeping inhabitants. In the first building he killed a man, a woman, and four children, and in the second a mother and her son, while her husband escaped seriously injured. In the third house he murdered a man, a woman and two children, while in the fourth one man was lightly wounded. Leman was afterwards arrested not far from the village.[4][5][6]
