In September 1941 a Buginese killed three people and wounded twelve others, seven of them seriously, in Kuala Enok, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Dutch East Indies. Three members of a military patrol tried to subdue him at the crime scene, but he managed to escape after wounding two of them. The man was arrested a couple of days later on September 10.
