Joseph Prokopetch was a Yugoslav peasant who killed four men and wounded ten others in Vinkovitch, a village near Osijek, Kingdom of Yugoslavia in April 1937.

After ceaseless questioning Prokopetch's wife Mira told him that she was courted by the majority of the male villagers. Enraged he waited until the village meeting ended and then shot from ambush at the suspected lovers of his wife. Mira later related that she was innocent and had only confessed to the affairs to escape further torture.[1][2][3]
