Jose Trujillo Gallegos was a Mexican rancher who killed at least three people in Las Norias, a village in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, United States during the night of February 17, 1885.[1]

Gallegos first murdered rancher Miguel Montano and his wife and threatened their visitors, and afterwards returned home, where he killed his wife, son, and two daughters by cutting their throat. A posse, which had gathered after the murders of the Montano's, surrounded his house, captured and lynched him.[2][3][4]

According to other sources the murdered family members were his wife, and 10-year-old daughter, while Gallegos was shot dead when he was about to kill his 3-year-old son.[5][6]
