Jamshid Soleimani (also spelled Jamshid Soleymani) was an Iranian who killed six people and wounded five others in Mahallat, Iran in October 2002. The 60-year-old opened fire with a hunting rifle when his neighbour Gholam Reza Tavakkoli arrived at his door with two law-enforcement officers to complain about noise. After killing Tavakkoli and the two officers, including conscript soldier Mehdi Sahlabadi, he went to his neighbour's home, where he shot dead a woman and her children aged 5 and 7 years. He also wounded five more people, including three police officers who tried to intervene and set fire to a car, before committing suicide by shooting himself.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
