On July 30, 1970 a 45-year-old man killed five people, among them two women, and seriously wounded six others with a bichuwa in Hanumanpalli, a village in Erode district, India, before being subdued by villagers and handed over to police. Three of those killed died at the scene, while the others succumbed to their injuries in hospital. [1][2][3]
