Francis Lloyd Russell was an American who killed eight of his relatives in Hamilton, Ohio, United States on June 4, 1925, before attempting to commit suicide by shooting himself in the chest. He survived however, was found to be insane and taken to the Lima State Hospital for the Criminally Insane, where he remained until his death on September 23, 1943.
