On the evening of September 5, 1881 a man killed eight people and wounded two others in Bunging, Celebes, Dutch East Indies.

The man, who was apparently not a native of the place, killed a villager named Ioda Daeng Palolo, three women, two boys, and two girls, and mortally wounded a woman and a girl, all of them in and near Palolo's house, before being killed himself by three natives.[1][2]
